iOffer.com This is a great place where you can sell your stuff in where people can practice the bartering system as well as the monetary route. You can list items for FREE in which others can offer a price (if price hasnt been set) or offer a trade for another item.
Overstock.com - Yes, Overstock has an auction environment, and I hear that this is now rated as a viable eBay contender.
uBid.com This is another great site in which you can place bids and list for FREE as well. Of course like ioffer, you only pay a fee once your item sells. The traffic on uBid is not as good as eBay, but there has been claims of other sellers making more money on uBid than on eBay.
